If you are planning to travel to AAOS 2025 from overseas, we urge you to begin the visa application process now. U.S. regulations require security checks for most visitor visa applications, resulting in a review process that may take three months or more.

Get Ready for Your First AAOS Experience: Essential Tips and Insights

  • The AAOS Annual Meeting is the largest and most comprehensive orthopaedic educational experience in the world. Orthopaedic professionals from around the globe attend in pursuit of the latest clinical, scientific, surgical technology and practice management knowledge and expertise.

  • AAOS 2025 Annual Meeting registration will open in November.

    For Members & Returning Non-Members
    If you are an AAOS member or if you have previously participated in the AAOS Annual Meeting, register online by clicking on the Member/Returning Attendees registration button and using your account log in information. Member savings will automatically be updated in your cart when you checkout. Please note that returning non-member Medical Students have special instructions that are outlined below.

    For Non-Member First-Time Attendees
    If you are not an AAOS member and you have not previously registered for the AAOS Annual Meeting, fill out the Request Approval to Attend form. Please note there are separate instructions for Medical Students that are outlined below.

    New! For Medical Students
    Medical Students who wish to register for the meeting must be AAOS Members (it's free!). Once you have applied and received confirmation that your membership has been processed, you can register for the meeting as an AAOS Member when registration opens in November.     AAOS 2025 OnDemand
    The AAOS 2025 OnDemand provides you access to an online library with hundreds of hours of educational content from instructional courses, symposia, and papers. Revisit sessions you attended and participate in those you missed anytime, anywhere. Plus, earn up to 100 CME credits.     Your Academy
    Your Academy is an annual ceremony that takes place during the AAOS Annual Meeting. AAOS leaders speak about their visions for the future of AAOS and a Presidential Guest Speaker delivers a keynote address.

  • When planning for your trip to the AAOS Annual Meeting, note that most attendees wear business professional attire. Comfortable shoes are recommended so you can cover as much ground as possible attending education sessions and visiting exhibits!

    Private Meeting

    The AAOS Annual Meeting is a private meeting. The AAOS reserves the right to control meeting space and may, at its sole discretion, remove persons from the meeting who are not registered, who do not meet attendance requirements or who cause disruptions.
