All Fellows are invited to attend the Annual Business Meetings held in Moscone South, Esplanade Ballroom 155 at the Moscone Center. The meetings are held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, beginning at 11:45 AM. There is one business meeting for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (“Academy”), the 501(c) (3) organization, immediately followed by the business meeting of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (“Association”), the 501(c)(6) organization.
2024 Nominating Committee
The Board of Directors appointed the Chair of the AAOS Nominating Committee in March 2023. In June 2023, the Fellowship elected five members of the 2024 AAOS Nominating Committee by ballot, and the Board of Councilors / Board of Specialty Societies elected its representative to serve on the AAOS Nominating Committee. The members of the 2024 Nominating Committee are:

The 2024 Nominating Committee provides its slate of nominees for each vacancy to be filled to the Fellowship in October 2023. If unopposed, this slate is voted on during the Association Business Meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
2025 Nominating Committee
Nominations for the 2025 AAOS Nominating Committee are accepted from the floor during the Association Business Meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. All Fellows will receive an electronic ballot after the 2024 Annual Meeting, with an opportunity to cast their votes for nominees to fill the elected positions on the 2025 Nominating Committee.
Resolutions Committee
Proposed Academy and Association resolutions that were submitted by September 1, 2023 will be considered at the 2024 Annual Meeting. The AAOS Resolutions Committee conducts an Open Hearing to receive comments on the proposed resolutions on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM in Moscone South, Room 302 at the Moscone Center.
At the business meetings on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, the Resolutions Committee presents its recommendations regarding each resolution under consideration. Shortly after the Annual Meeting, these recommendations are voted on by the Fellowship.
Bylaws Committee
Proposed amendments to the Academy and the Association Bylaws that were submitted by September 1, 2023, will be considered at the 2024 Annual Meeting. The AAOS Bylaws Committee conducts an Open Hearing to receive comments on the proposed bylaws amendments on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, following the conclusion of the Resolutions Committee Open Hearing. It is anticipated that the Bylaws Committee Open Hearing will begin around 1:30 PM.
At the business meetings on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, the Bylaws Committee presents its recommendations regarding each set of the proposed amendments to the Bylaws. Shortly after the Annual Meeting, these recommendations are voted on by the Fellowship.
