Build your skills to successfully create and defend IME reports
This half-day interactive training is a great add-on prior to the 2019 Workers’ Compensation Course.
Back by popular demand, this training workshop offers clarity on the Independent Medical Examination (IME) report process. This valuable skill is rarely taught in residency and is important to Workers’ Compensation cases. Faculty evolve your skills with a thorough review of patient history, physical examination, creating IME reports, determining impairment and defending your opinions at deposition and trial.
Training includes faculty critique of actual IME reports. Registrants are encouraged to submit their IMEs in advance of the course for consideration.
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:
• Recognize the purpose of IME reports
• Establish specific steps for processing the history, record review, physical examination and clinical studies
• Understand how to incorporate impairment ratings in your reports
• Create a standard format IME report
• Develop skills to defend your IME report
