Hear from Course Faculty!

“This is a top-tier course focused on shoulder arthroplasty – one of the fastest growing procedures in orthopedics. The faculty represent key opinion leaders on shoulder arthroplasty. I look forward to teaching a little bit and learning a lot!”

– Samer S. Hasan, MD, PhD, FAAOS

"As a co-designer of one of the original second and third generation reverse shoulder arthroplasty systems I feel it is imperative to continue to improve the understanding of indications, improve surgical techniques and understand and assess any issues which diminish results.

At the same time, as the indications increase it is imperative for us to share our knowledge in the interest of better patient care. With burgeoning technology, this is even more important. I feel that hands-on meetings like this give us the best opportunity to teach and learn from each other and I look forward to participating in this wonderful course."

– David M. Dines, MD, FAAOS

“I never stop learning during these kinds of courses as it allows unopposed listening and discussion time.”

– Ronald A. Navarro, MD, FAAOS

“I very much appreciate the comradery and sense of community at these meetings. The small group setting for this course makes the discussions very engaging and I always leave these meetings feeling as though I have learned more than I contributed.”

– April D. Armstrong, MD, FAAOS

“The incredible AAOS lab facilities and the separation from industry bias makes this course a real gem. The faculty are great and hearing their insights and pearls always gives me something new to take home. Additionally, one of my favorite things about teaching is the chance to see how others approach something or think about a problem which allows me to learn too.”

– Melissa Wright, MD

“The field is so dynamic, and it’s great to see how the experiences of the most respected surgeons in shoulder and elbow surgery influence our principals of shoulder arthroplasty.”

– Alexander Martusiewicz, MD

“My career success and technically advanced skills are largely attributed to the amazing teachers I had in my shoulder fellowship. I am 10 years out, have done over 1,500 shoulder replacements, and I believe giving back and teaching the next generation of shoulder surgeons is essential. This is my second time teaching, and enjoy teaching others tips and tricks I have learned through the years and also enjoy learning from other instructors. It’s a fun atmosphere.”

– Daniel C. Acevedo, MD, FAAOS

“I unquestionably leave each course with more knowledge and essential information.”

– Paul Sethi, MD, FAAOS

“It’s an amazing opportunity to learn from both the faculty and participants”

– Augustus D. Mazzocca, MD, MS, FAAOS

“Interacting and networking with participants from around the country is a rare opportunity. This course has a unique, hands-on, skills-based agenda with practical takeaways that can be immediately implemented into everyone’s practice. It’s an excellent opportunity to connect with current and future leaders in shoulder Arthroplasty from around the country. Often courses like this are industry driven. This is a rare, unbiased opportunity to learn from the best.”

– Hafiz F. Kassam, MD, FAAOS, FRCSC

“AAOS/ASES courses offer the best forum for unbiased collaboration. This particular course  brings together great minds, different perspectives, multiple implants, and I never fail to take away practice changing information.”

– Luke S. Austin, MD, FAAOS
