Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for surgeons who see trauma patients frequently, as well as those who take trauma call and need to “get through the night.

Bring your PAs and NPs for a unique opportunity to work together and strengthen your performance as a team! PAs and NPs can attend lectures, view surgical demonstrations, and shadow in the lab.

AAOS will consider the requests of persons with disabilities for reasonable modifications of policies, practices, and procedures or for auxiliary aids and services where necessary to provide them access to AAOS facilities, services and products. AAOS encourages that such requests be made as soon as possible to enhance AAOS’ ability to accommodate the requests. Participant Requirements

Surgical participants in Academy surgical skills programs must have completed or be currently enrolled in a residency program accredited by either the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Surgeons from outside of the United States are required to have similar residency program credentials.

PAs can attend lectures, view surgical demonstrations, and observe in the lab accompanied by an orthopaedic surgeon.
