How do I create an AAOS account?

  1. Check the upper right-hand corner on the AAOS Home page
  2. Click on "Login/Create Account"
  3. Click on "Create Account"
  4. Enter the email address that will be associated with your account
  5. Complete the required information and submit

How do I log into my AAOS account?

How do I reset my account password?

  1. Login to your AAOS account

How do I make changes to my Username or Password?

  2. From the My Account page, in the left navigation bar, click on "Username/Password"

How do I retrieve my Username?

How do I find my AAOS ID number?

How do I print a receipt or access my purchase history?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the My Account page, access the left navigation menu
  3. Under Purchases, click on "Purchase History"

  5. Click "Printable View"

How do I pay my account balance online?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the My Account page, access the left navigation menu
  3. Under Purchases, click on "Pay My Balance"
  4. Click on the order number 
  5. Check the box to select your order number
  6. Complete payment information and click on "Pay Now"

How do I add or delete a credit card from my account?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the My Account page, access the left navigation menu
  3. Under Purchases, click on "Manage Payment Methods"
  4. Click on "Add a New Card" or "Delete Card" and complete information

How can I sign up for the AAOS Membership Auto-Renewal Program?

Members of the Academy can sign up for the Auto-Renewal program by choosing "Auto-Renew" at checkout.

How do I pay my dues online?

  3. Check the box under "Pay Open Orders" and complete payment information

 

What are the requirements for becoming an Associate Candidate or an Emeritus Fellow member?

Where can I find detailed information on the AAOS Annual Meeting?

Comprehensive details regarding the AAOS Annual meeting, including dates, location, registration process, housing and exhibits can be found by selecting "Annual Meeting" from the main menu bar.

How do I print my Certificate of Attendance or claim Annual Meeting CME's?

  1. From the AAOS Home page, select "Annual Meeting"
  2. From the main menu, go to Post Meeting Resources
  3. Click on the appropriate item

How do I submit an abstract for the Annual Meeting?

  1. From the AAOS Home page, select "Annual Meeting"
  2. From the main menu, hover over "Education"
  3. From the submenu, select "Education Resources"
  4. Then select, "Abstract Submission"
  5. Click on "Submit Now" and complete the required information

 

Where can I find a complete listing of available courses and webinars?

  1. From the AAOS Home page, hover over "Education"
  2. From the submenu, select "Education by Learning Preferences"
  3. Then select, "Courses and Webinars"
  4. Login and register as required

 

Are the webinars ever replayed?

Typically webinars are replayed 7 to 10 days after live viewing. Keep in mind, if you are interested in the webinar replay, you must be registered prior to the live date.

Continuing Medical Education and Transcripts

How do I claim, update, or print my CME transcripts?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the main menu bar on the AAOS Home page, hover over the Education menu
  3. Select "Education Services" and then select "CME Transcripts"
  4. Click on "Update/Claim CME credits" to add or adjust credit hours
  5. Click on "Print Official Transcript" to print credits on file
  6. Complete required information

How can I add non-AAOS credits to my transcript?

For your convenience, there is an option to add non-AAOS CME credits to the Learning Portfolio helping you track your credits in one place. However, you are required to upload your certificates of completion. These credits and certificates will be shared with the ABOS daily.

 

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the main menu bar on the AAOS Home page, hover over the Education menu
  3. Select "Education Services" and then select "CME Transcripts"
  4. Click on "Add Non-AAOS CME Credits" to update your transcript with additional credits earned elsewhere
  5. Complete required information

How long does it take for Annual Meeting CME credits to appear on my transcript?

After Annual Meeting, CME processing may take up to 5 weeks to complete before appearing on your transcript.

Where can I view progress of my current ABOS Maintenance of Certification (MOC)?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. From the main menu bar on the AAOS Home page, hover over the Education menu
  3. Select "Education Services" and then select "Learning Portfolio"

How do I find my online examinations?

  1. From the AAOS Home page immediately below the home page image
  2. Select "Online Learning"
  3. Login to your AAOS account to access the online learning platform
  4. From the left navigation menu, click on "My Activities"
  5. Select the appropriate examination status, "In Progress" or "Recently Completed"

What is the ResStudy?

Concurrent online access to the collection of AAOS Orthopaedic Special Interest Examinations Self-Assessment Examinations. ResStudy provides challenging, in-depth self-assessment questions in a broad range of orthopaedic topics. This program is a learning tool for residents, and evaluation tool for resident directors.

Why haven't I received my JAAOS Journal?

The JAAOS app is no longer available for download.

How long does it take to resume delivery of the JAAOS print issue?

Please allow up to 8 weeks for the journal delivery to be reinstated. You will be able to access JAAOS online immediately following secure login.

What do I need to do if I move?

  1. Login to your AAOS account
  2. Navigate to "My Account"
  3. Update your contact information

 

You should receive your first JAAOS issue at the new address within 8 weeks.

How do I cancel the print JAAOS member subscription?

Call Customer Service and they will adjust your subscription to "online only access". Please allow 8 weeks for your print subscription to discontinue.

How can I receive JAAOS related CME credits?

JAAOS offers these opportunities for CME credits:

  1. Article-based CME modules
  2. CME for the JAAOS Plus webinars (free for members)
  3. JAAOS also offers CME for reviewers. If you are a reviewer please request your CME directly via Editorial Manager.
  4. JAAOS Global also offers CME for reviewers. If you are a reviewer please request your CME directly via Editorial Manager

Can I access Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR) if I am an AAOS member?

Yes, if you an AAOS fellow or an associate member, you will have online access to CORR. 

 

Simply use your AAOS login credentials and navigate to the CORR Journal.

How do I download my eBook?

Individuals who have print books purchased from Wolters Kluwer/Lippincott need to check the inside cover. There is a sticker "Access Your Enhanced eBook" with instructions and a scratch code.

 

 

You may also set up an account first. Go to https://www.vitalsource.com/sign_up and follow the instructions. Once you have the account you will be able to redeem your eBook.

 

 

PS... Downloadable, eBook versions purchased directly from AAOS in the past can be accessed through the AAOS Access app using your AAOS login credentials.

How do I access my eBook purchased prior to 2019?

You are authenticated on the AAOS Access app exclusively available for iOS and GooglePlay eBooks. Once you download the free app, use your AAOS login to access content. 

Where do I find information on the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program?

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program is published by Jones and Barlett.

Where can I buy Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care?

Since 2018 Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care is published by Jones & Barlett.

How do I get my additional 50 CME credits for the OKU book purchase in addition to the OKU exam?

Contact AAOS Customer Service to add the 50 credits to your transcript.
