How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has been an excellent resource throughout my career. I frequently use the clinical practice guidelines and JAAOS publications to stay up to date with current practices and emerging trends in orthopedics.

As an Allied member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The JAAOS has been invaluable resource throughout my career. I frequently use the JAAOS publications to stay current with the latest research. The educational resources, clinical updates, and guidelines have helped me maintain evidence-based decision making and continue to grow as an orthopedic PA. Although I work as an orthopedic spine PA it’s been a great way to stay connected to the broader orthopedic community.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was to make sure every patient leaves the room feeling like they gained something – whether that’s relief, understanding, or simply being listened too. The sense of value often matters as much as treatment itself.  - Dr. Thomas Brandon

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My go-to productivity trick is making daily lists and organizing tasks by priority. This helps me keep my thoughts structured, stay focused, and accomplish each goal efficiently throughout the day.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I’m trying to make it a habit to read or listen to an audiobook more consistently to continue learning and stay mentally engaged outside of work.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I spend most of my free time outdoors.  I love adventure- whether it’s snowboarding in the winter, hiking in new places, playing sports with my kids or golfing when I get the chance.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I enjoy exercising regularly, and a few years ago I completed the Seagull Century – a 100-mile bike ride. The training required a lot of discipline, but finishing the ride was an incredibly rewarding experience.
