Clinical Practice Guideline on Glenohumeral Joint Osteoarthritis
Clinical practice guidelines (CPG) provide evidence-based recommendations for current orthopaedic diagnostic, treatment, and postoperative procedures. Multidisciplinary clinician work groups and AAOS staff work together to synthesize published research with the aim of providing a transparent and robust summary of the research findings for a particular orthopaedic disease topic.
Measure 109, Osteoarthritis Function and Pain
In 2014, the AAOS executed a measure transition agreement with the American Medical Association/Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (AMA/PCPI) to assume the measure maintenance and stewardship responsibilities for the Osteoarthritis: Function & Pain Assessment (OAFP) measure.
This report describes updates made to the OAFP measure during the measure evaluation process, specifically background information on the measure and its development, a description of the update, the impacts of the changes on the measure cohort and outcome, and overall measure results.
Clinical Practice Guidelines Slide Deck
The AAOS develops slide decks based on CPGs to be used in grand rounds, conference, or meeting presentations. These slides are free for all to use and users can modify the presentation length by removing or combining slides in order to fit the presenter's needs. To further assist presenters, a pdf version of this slide deck, including presenter notes is also available for download.
