A Summary of the March AAOS Registry Program Unet Meeting

Published May 2020

The AAOS Registry Program User Group Network (Unet) Webinar held on March 26, 2020 was geared toward non-surgeon AAOS RegistryInsights® users. The webinar began with an overview of the Registry Program and the different ways that users can access data: the RegistryInsights dashboards, the AAOS Registry Analytics Institute®, and custom reports from the AAOS Registry Analytics team.

A big thank you was given to all those participating in the Registry Program which now includes over 1,450 participating contracted sites and 11,200 registered surgeons across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The Registry Program has data representing over 1,900,000 orthopaedic procedures, capturing over 40% of all U.S. total joint arthroplasty volume annually.

The wide variety of AAOS Registry data reuse opportunities were presented. AJRR participation recently became a quality metric for the Cigna Surgical Treatment Support Program.

AAOS Registry Optimization Manager Ryan Olsen then discussed the updated Unet strategic plan. The mission of Unet is to provide Registry participants with an interactive communication platform to enhance and provide their technical and clinical knowledge of the RegistryInsights platform and Registry Program overall.

The March Unet Webinar closed with an overview of the recent RegistryInsights updates and a summary of the results from the 2019 Annual User Survey. In response to 2019 survey results, we have implemented a more robust topic-specific webinar schedule to address your top issues, reorganized staff structure to improve technical support for a more seamless experience, and more.
