This video demonstrates ankle arthroscopy for the minimally invasive treatment of several types of anterior ankle impingement. Ankle impingement may refer to soft tissue or bone impingement or a combination. This pathology may result in limited range of motion, pain, pressure, or discomfort for patients, especially in dorsiflexion. Arthroscopic intervention allows for shorter recovery time, less pain, and reduced rate of infection compared to open procedures.
