Clavicle Malunion Correction, Part I: Using a 3D Printed Model to Plan and Trial Corrective Osteotomy
This program video describes the use of a three-dimensional (3D) printed clavicle malunion model to plan and trial a corrective osteotomy. This program is intended for surgeons who use 3D reconstructed models to plan corrective osteotomy surgery and is aimed at helping them perfect surgical technique and improve intraoperative efficiency. The use of 3D printing in such cases can benefit medical students, residents, fellows, and attendings, because anyone can safely and cheaply walk through the steps of a complex case without the need of a wet laboratory, a cadaveric specimen, or a patient.
