Isolated Tibial Component Revision for Aseptic Failure

This video summarizes common total knee arthroplasty early versus late modes of failure. In addition, the video reviews treatment options, with recent success rates based on recent literature.

The case presentation of a patient in whom isolated tibial component failure occurred within 2 years of primary surgery is discussed. Surgical pearls for removing the tibial tray with minimal bone loss and the use of augments to manage bone loss and provide structural support for the new implant are reviewed.
