Gap Balancing Total Knee Arthroplasty With ExactechGPS Using a Novel Intra-articular Tensor
The Newton Knee (Exactech) is a tibia-first gap balancing protocol that involves the use of a novel tensor to acquire force-loaded gaps throughout a range of motion. ExactechGPS uses this data to display predicted postoperative tensions during its advanced implant planning phase. This video describes a surgical workflow and explains how this new device allows the computer to accurately determine the positioning and size of the femoral component to achieve balanced flexion and extension gaps medially and laterally.
