Why did you join AAOS?

I joined AAOS to connect with other orthopaedic surgeons.

How do you define success?

Success is helping make the world better for those around you.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

My biggest inspiration is my mother because she helped raise my brother and me after my father passed away from a heart attack when I was fourteen and my brother was twelve. She never let anything stop her and I try and do the same.

What do you love most about AAOS?

I love meeting new people who are passionate about orthopaedic surgery and learning how they do things as this is what helps move the field forward.

What advice would you give to new members of the AAOS?

For new members it is important to reach out to other members of AAOS as they are very friendly and great to talk with.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.

I was in Sports Illustrated for hockey when I was in high school for scoring a playoff overtime goal in what was the longest high school hockey playoff game at the time.
