AAOS witnessed an exhilarating showcase of orthopaedic knowledge, teamwork, and perseverance during the 2023 AAOS Resident Rumble virtual trivia competition. This exciting event continues to foster the talents of aspiring orthopaedic surgeons while adapting to the age of virtual events. The 2023 event featured 4 weeks of intense competition, each resulting in a well-deserved victory for four teams. These exceptional teams not only showcased their individual brilliance but also demonstrated the power of collaboration within the orthopaedic community. The weekly champions were:
- week 1 winner: William Beaumont Army Medical Center/Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso
- week 2 winner: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
- week 3 winner: Corewell Health/Michigan State University
- week 4 winner: Oklahoma State University
These four teams embodied the dedication, commitment, and passion that orthopaedic residents bring to their craft, setting a high standard for excellence in orthopaedics. Each winning team received a trophy, gift cards, recognition as Resident Rumble champions, and an invitation to participate in the annual AAOS Resident Bowl, the in-person trivia competition that will take place Feb. 14 in San Francisco at the AAOS 2024 Annual Meeting.
