Membership Corner: AAOS’ 2025 MVAS Survey shows an increase in member satisfaction and NPS

Editor’s note: Membership Corner is an ongoing series that highlights interesting insights into AAOS’ membership.

AAOS heard you, and the organization is taking action. In 2025, 3,869 members completed the six-question Member Value and Satisfaction (MVAS) Survey. Overall satisfaction reached 60.7% (Figure 1), matching the highest level reported in the past five years and rebounding from prior declines. At the same time, the Net Promoter Score (NPS) increased to 38 (Figure 2), the strongest result in the past five years and within the “good to great” benchmark range for associations.

Figure 2. The Net Promoter Score asks survey takers to respond to: “On a scale from 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend our product, service, or company to a friend, colleague, or family member?” In 2025, AAOS achieved its highest score in the past five years.

“These results show momentum, but we know there is more work to do,” said AAOS Membership Council Chair Valerae O. Lewis, MD FAOA, FAAOS. “We remain committed to listening to your feedback, making improvements, and delivering a more valuable member experience.”
