Getting to and around Moscone Center

Familiarize Yourself with Moscone Center

The Moscone Center covers more than 20 acres on three adjacent blocks. Surrounded by Yera Buena Gardens, the Moscone Center is the centerpiece of a vibrant neighborhood that includes major hotels, numerous cultural venues, restaurants, galleries and parks. 

AAOS 2024 activities will take place throughout three main areas of the Moscone Center: The north, south and west buildings. 

Here is an overview of what aspects of the meeting you can visit in each building:

South Building

  • Hotel shuttle drop off: Routes 1 & 2
  • Main Registration, Check-in & Ticket Sales
  • Exhibit Hall Entrance
  • Education Sessions

West Building

  • Hotel shuttle drop off: Routes 4, 5, 6, 7
  • Satellite Check-in & Ticket Sales
  • OrthoLive
  • Education Sessions

Hotel Shuttles

Shuttle bus service to and from the convention center is available to guests staying at official AAOS hotels. Hotels within walking distance of the convention center will not have shuttle service. For complete details view the transportation schedule

  • Hours of Operation:
    • Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
      • No Service between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Items left on the shuttles will be turned in to the Academy Headquarters Office, Room 105. 

Parking

The Moscone Center does not have on-site parking. Metered parking on nearby streets and using SpotHero are recommendations if you plan to drive to the meeting.

Rideshare & Taxi Service

While there is no dedicated rideshare or taxi service drop off or pick up location at Moscone Center, consider using the main entrance a South Building, which is closest to the primary registration check-in desk and located at 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94013.

Walking

AAOS hotels will have walking maps posted at the concierge or bell desk for the fastest, safest routes to the Moscone Center.
