International Orthopaedic Surgeons and Medical Students can join AAOS through February 28, 2025, as members and save on registration! (Note, Medical Student Membership is required to attend the Annual Meeting... it’s free!) 

Registration Categories

  • Individuals in this category include all AAOS members or returning non-members:

    • Physicians
    • International Medical Attendees
    • U.S. Allied Health
    • U.S. Orthopaedic Practice Staff
    • Career Center Participants
    • Residents/Resident Coordinators
    • Medical Students Members
    • Groups
  • Individuals such as researchers/PhD, scientists, CEO, COO, director level titles, legal counsel, purchasers, marketers, and public media personnel working in the field of orthopaedics. Academy approval is required.

    Required: Signed and currently dated letter from your orthopaedic employer. The letter must be on official letterhead and state that you are a current employee and include your purpose for attending the meeting.

  • To attend the AAOS Annual Meeting as a non-member of the Academy, approval must be requested. Submit a Request Approval to Attend form for Academy review. If you are a medical student non-member, please see instructions immediately below. View additional first time attendee resources.

  • New! Medical students who wish to Attend the meeting must be AAOS Members (it’s free!). Apply here, or contact the Membership Department at join@aaos.org or call 1-800-626-6727 for assistance. Once approved, you will receive confirmation of your membership, and you’ll be all set to register for the meeting!

  • This category includes exhibiting company personnel attending for educational purposes only and not working in the booth nor engaging in other business activities. Attendees require approval from the Academy.  

  • The AAOS Annual Meeting is a private meeting for medical professionals. However, as a professional courtesy, after review and if approved, AAOS does allow a maximum of two representatives from a non-exhibiting commercial company to attend the meeting under the registration category of Industry Non-Exhibitor. Approval is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the AAOS Exhibits Committee. 

    Qualifying individuals for the Industry Non-Exhibitor category include: 

    • Equipment Distributor/Manufacturer (this qualification requires a letter of invitation from an exhibiting company) 
    • Financial Analyst 
    • Healthcare Affiliate 
    • Investment Broker/Banker 
    • Potential Exhibitor (one-time registration only, after doing this, the company must exhibit to attend future Annual Meetings) 

    Registration provides access to the industry exhibits only. Industry Non-Exhibitors are NOT allowed to attend AAOS educational programming. 

    Only exhibiting companies are permitted to promote their products, services, or company at the Annual Meeting. Solicitation of business by non-exhibitors is strictly prohibited. This includes handing out flyers, approaching exhibitor booths or attendees to sell products, and leaving and/or distributing literature in public spaces and show floor aisles. Industry Non-Exhibitors who violate this policy will be required to leave the Annual Meeting and forfeit their badge. 

    Companies that have reserved exhibit space, have exhibited at past meetings, or registered for an exhibit and cancelled their exhibit space are not permitted to register their employees as Industry Non-Exhibitors. 

    Registration schedule and fees 

    • Early Bird Online Registration (November 13 – December 13): $1,600 per person 
    • Advance Online Registration (December 14 - January 31): $1,800 per person 
    • Standard/Onsite registration (February 1 - March 14):$2,700 per person

    • Monday, March 10: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM 
    • Tuesday, March 11: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
    • Wednesday, March 12: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
    • Thursday, March 13: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
