The Annual Meeting Mobile App is available for free download from the App Store or Google Play. It is the go-to resource for planning your customized experience. What health and safety measures is AAOS taking for AAOS 2024?
As the trusted leader in musculoskeletal healthcare, the Academy is working diligently to provide a safe environment for all AAOS 2024 Annual Meeting participants.
Can family members attend the meeting?
AAOS members receive one complimentary Family Badge that may be used by a spouse, significant other, or immediate family member (not an active medical professional). You may pre-register a family member during online registration or on-site. All Family Badge recipients must be accompanied by the registered AAOS member and present an ID to receive a Family Badge.
Family Badge attendees 16 years and older have access to the following:
- Academy Hall
- Industry Exhibits
- Your Academy/Guest Speaker
Family Badge attendees under 16 have access to Academy Hall only, providing they are not disruptive to surrounding activities.
Please note: Family Badge attendees will not have access to any educational sessions or events.
How many CME credits are available for the Annual Meeting?
The AAOS designates for 2024 this live activity for a maximum of 23.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. More information on Annual Meeting activities that are eligible for CME credit can be found at CME Details.
International Physicians: The AMA has determined that physicians not licensed in the United States but who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Allied Health Professionals: The AAOS is not accredited to offer credit for nurses and other Allied Health Professionals. To determine if activities offering AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are acceptable for your licensing or certification needs please contact the relevant organizations directly.
What is Annual Meeting On Demand / Gold Registration Package?
Gold Registration includes live meeting attendance PLUS Annual Meeting On Demand a comprehensive online library with over 500 hours of educational meeting content that you can watch anytime, anywhere. When will the Annual Meeting app be available?
The 2024 version of the Annual Meeting app will be available in October 2023. The Annual Meeting Mobile App It is the go-to resource for planning your customized experience. You can choose your ideal learning path by adding education programs, Exhibit Hall activities, and must-see exhibitors to your custom agenda.
AAOS will consider the requests of persons with disabilities for reasonable modifications of policies, practices and procedures or for auxiliary aids and services where necessary to provide access to AAOS facilities, events, services and products. AAOS encourages that such requests be made as soon as possible to enhance AAOS’ ability to accommodate the requests. Are there lactation rooms available?
The Mamava Original comes complete with two spacious benches, a fold-down table, and power outlets. Mamava Original pods can be located and unlocked with the free Mamava app and proprietary smart access system. Located in Moscone West L2 and Moscone South Lower Mezzanine Level.
The closest major airport to the Moscone Center in San Francisco is San Francisco International Airport (SFO). It's located about 14 Miles south of the Moscone Center, making it the most convenient choice for travelers attending events or visiting the center.
What are my transportation options?
Public Transportation:
San Francisco has an extensive public transportation system operated by Muni (Municipal Transportation Agency) and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). You can take buses or light rail trains to get to the Moscone Center. Look for routes that pass through or near the Moscone Center area.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit):
BART is a convenient option if you are coming from locations outside San Francisco. The Moscone Center is accessible from the Powell Street Station and the Montgomery Street Station. Both stations are within walking distance of the venue.
Caltrain:
If you're traveling from the Peninsula or South Bay, Caltrain is a viable option. Get off at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, and from there, you can either walk or take public transportation to the Moscone Center.
Ridesharing and Taxis:
Services like Uber and Lyft operate in San Francisco, making it easy to book a ride to the Moscone Center. Simply request a ride to the address: Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA.
Cable Car:
If you want a unique experience, you can take a cable car to the Moscone Center. The Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason lines pass through the Union Square area, which is close to the Moscone Center.
Biking:
San Francisco is a bike-friendly city with designated bike lanes. You can rent bikes or use bike-sharing services like Ford GoBike to pedal your way to the Moscone Center.
Walking:
If you're staying nearby, walking to the Moscone Center might be the easiest and most cost-effective option.
Driving:
If you prefer driving, be aware that parking in downtown San Francisco can be challenging and expensive. There are several paid parking lots near the Moscone Center, but availability may vary, especially during events.
Remember to check the latest transportation schedules, fares, and routes, as they may change over time. Additionally, consider the time of day and any special events that may impact traffic or public transportation availability. Enjoy your visit to the Moscone Center!
What is the weather like in San Francisco?
With the cool San Francisco weather in February, you will want to pack clothing that you can layer. With highs around 60° F/16° C and lows around 48° F/9° C, you will need a light jacket during the day. At night, you will want to wear something a little warmer.
What is the attire for the meeting?
Professional attire is appropriate at the meeting and to visit the exhibit hall. Some restaurants require coats and ties for gentlemen, but most welcome casual attire. Check each restaurant’s policy when making reservations.
