To ensure a seamless on-site experience, please note this important information about the AAOS Annual Meeting CME Transcript System:
- You cannot claim CME credit for any educational activities you participate in before you officially check-in to the meeting by visiting the Registration Desk and picking up your meeting badge. For instance, if you arrive at the meeting on Tuesday but do not check-in until Wednesday, you will not be able to claim CME credits for your Tuesday attendance.
- Your CME Certificate of Attendance from AAOS and participating Specialty Societies will be emailed twice daily (10:00 am and 3:00 pm CST) from March 3–6, based on when your attendance is verified. You can also access it through the Mobile App under "My Experience." Please note that printing is not available.
- You can begin logging your CME credits in your transcripts approximately 2 weeks after the meeting.

More Education FAQs
What are the course rates for the 2027 meeting?
There’s no need to purchase separate tickets for Instructional Course Lectures this year! ICLs are now included with your Annual Meeting registration, giving you more flexibility to explore the sessions that matter most to you.
The AAOS Sessions section will appear only for Medical Students and Residents. Some sessions have limited seating and require advance registration, so be sure to reserve your spot during registration. Discover more about education at AAOS 2027.
Why are ICLs now included with registration?
ICLs are included with meeting registration because attendees consistently told us that cost was a barrier. Separate fees created friction in the registration process and often felt like nickel-and-diming, limiting participation. By including ICLs, we're removing that barrier, making it easier to access more of the program and significantly expanding the overall value of attending.
With the shorter meeting, are we losing educational content?
We're delivering the same depth and quality in a more focused format. With ICLs now included, there's actually more opportunity and value than ever, even within a shorter meeting.
When will the Specialty Society Sessions be held?
Specialty Society Programs at the AAOS Annual Meetings are typically held on the last day of the event. At AAOS 2027 in Las Vegas, the sessions will take place on Saturday, March 6.
How can I access session handouts?
Annual Meeting handouts will be available via the AAOS Annual Meeting Mobile App. To access ICL and Symposium handouts, you must be logged into the app on your device. You can use the same username and password that you use at aaos.org to log in. For more information about installing the app, view the Annual Meeting Mobile App page. For log-in assistance on-site, please visit the nearest mobile app help desk or contact our Customer and Member Services Team at 800-626-6726.
Note: Some sessions do not provide handouts. If an ICL or Symposium session doesn't include a handout, it will be noted in the session description.
What is AAOS Annual Meeting OnDemand?
AAOS Annual Meeting OnDemand is an online library with hundreds of hours of educational content from the meeting's instructional course lectures, symposia, and paper sessions. This allows you to revisit sessions you attended and participate in those you missed anytime, anywhere. Plus, earn up to 100 CME credits. Content will not be live-streamed during the meeting, but AAOS 2027 OnDemand will be available shortly after the meeting. In the meantime, you can get AAOS 2026 OnDemand now!
When can I submit an application to present at next year's Annual Meeting?
Abstracts and applications for the 2027 Annual Meeting are closed, but you can view instructions, key dates and deadlines, and the submission form on our Abstracts and Applications page. Applications for the 2028 Annual Meeting will open on April 1, 2027.
