AAOS' People-First Philosophy Drives Six Consecutive Top Workplace Wins

Chicago Tribune names AAOS a top workplace for 2025 based on employee feedback

Rosemont, Ill. (November 7, 2025)—The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) has once again been recognized as one of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces for 2025. This marks the sixth consecutive year that AAOS has received the honor, highlighting its continued commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and employee engagement.

“Being named a 2025 Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune for the sixth year in a row is a powerful affirmation of our people-first philosophy and the strong culture we’ve built together,” said AAOS Chief Executive Officer Thomas Arend, Jr., JD, CAE. “I’m deeply grateful to every team member whose dedication and spirit make AAOS not just a workplace, but a community.”

The annual Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC, an employee engagement technology partner. The confidential survey measures several key aspects of workplace culture, including leadership, engagement, communication, innovation, work-life balance, and more.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

AAOS’s recognition underscores its ongoing efforts to create an environment where employees feel valued, empowered, and inspired to support the organization’s mission of advancing musculoskeletal health.
