Maintenance of Certification (MOC) is a recertification program managed by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). It has been designed based on the idea that medical knowledge and practice change over time. For the most updated information on MOC requirements for recertification, please refer to the ABOS website.
The AAOS Learning Portfolio
The online AAOS Learning Portfolio helps you keep track of your MOC progress. It shows you how many CME credits you need and when you need them. It also tracks your earned CME by event and year. Access the Learning Portfolio.
CME credits on your AAOS transcript are automatically transferred to the ABOS to help you meet the requirements for MOC. Quickly check your CME earnings and add new CME activities to your transcript by logging into your CME Transcript.
The Academy is committed to providing the CME resources you need to plan and manage your MOC process. Opportunities to earn CME range from self-assessment examinations to modules on our Online Learning platform and live courses and webinars.
