Charges
- Align all activities to support execution and achievement of the mission, vision, goals, strategic objectives and metrics of the Strategic Plan and conduct all business in accordance with the Core Values as adopted by the Board of Directors.
- In May, evaluate all submitted Symposium applications, as well as applications for other educational formats as needed, related to the given specialty designation during the Annual Meeting planning process.
- In June and July, grade Paper/Poster/ePoster abstract applications in the designated specialty submitted for the Annual Meeting Scientific Program.
- Provide feedback and suggestions including, but not limited to, topics, faculty, moderators and curriculum recommendations to the Central Program Committee.
- Serve as Moderator for Paper Presentation sessions and Poster Tours at the Annual Meeting.
- Evaluate educational sessions at the Annual Meeting (Critical Evaluator).
NOTE: Committee members must attend the Annual Meeting during their tenure and serve as critical evaluators in the Academy's educational sessions during the meeting. The committee members will attend the Annual Meeting at their own expense as is consistent with the AAOS Travel Policy.
