AAOS/ORS Research Programming Committee

Charges

  1. Align all activities to support execution and achievement of the mission, vision, goals, strategic objectives and metrics of the Strategic Plan and conduct all business in accordance with the Core Values as adopted by the Board of Directors.
  2. Encourage interactions and foster relationships between clinicians and basic scientists during the Annual Meetings of the AAOS and ORS.
  3. Coordinate the presentations and recognition for recipients of AAOS, OREF and ORS research awards.
  4. Collaborate with the BOS on fostering and coordinating educational programming that focuses on basic science, translational and clinical research throughout the BOS organizations on Specialty Day.

 

NOTE: Committee members must attend the Annual Meeting during their tenure and serve as critical evaluators in the Academy's educational sessions during the meeting. Support for travel of the committee members at their Annual Meetings is as specified in the travel policies of the AAOS and ORS.
