Additional AAOS Commercial Support Policies
In addition to adherence to the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, the AAOS Committee on Outside Interests developed the following policy regarding commercial support:
Effective 12/2009, the AAOS and the societies jointly sponsored for CME by the AAOS shall discontinue providing commercially-logoed, non-educational “reminder” items at AAOS Annual Meetings.
These items include but are not limited to:
- Proceedings CD-ROM
- Lanyards
- Registration Bags
- Tote Bags
- Pens
- USB drives
- Portable chargers
