How do I download the app?
The AAOS Membership app is available for both iOS and Android devices. AAOS Members can download our app from the Apple or Google Play stores.

Simply open your app store on your mobile device and search for “AAOS Membership” and the app should appear in the search results. Select “Get” and follow the instructions to download on your device.

How do I log in?
The AAOS Membership App is exclusively for AAOS Members. It requires you to log in to quickly access your Member account and benefits. To log in:

  • Use your AAOS Member ID and password, the same credentials you use to log in to aaos.org.
  • If you have forgotten your password, select “Forgot Password” to reset.
  • If you are still having issues, please submit a support request or contact our Customer Service team directly at 800-626-6726.

What can I do on the AAOS Membership App?
Our debut version of the app focuses on helping you easily find the information from AAOS that you need most:

  • Check your CME transcript and find new CME opportunities
  • Update your profile and your disclosure
  • Quickly access JAAOS, AAOS Now, and the Bone Beat Orthopaedic Podcast Channel
  • Find and contact other AAOS Members

We are committed to improving the AAOS Membership App and we will regularly review Member Feedback for guidance on developing new app features.

Are there any special features of the app for residents?
If you are a Resident Member, your version of the app provides you with the same quick access to benefits, but focused on your needs, including:

  • Resident Orthopaedic Core Knowledge (ROCK) – Our popular ResStudy question bank is accessible through ROCK

Is there a fee to use the AAOS Membership App?
No, the mobile app is free for AAOS Members. It is an exclusive, members- only benefit.

How does the direct messaging feature work?
Our app lets you quickly find colleagues through the AAOS Membership Directory and start a direct chat! This direct messaging feature is a new, exciting way to connect with your peers, develop lifelong relationships, or reinvigorate old friendships.

Note: The direct messaging functionality works only between two members who have both downloaded the AAOS Membership App. Members who have not yet downloaded the app will not have a direct message icon on their profiles.

For more information on the direct messaging feature, please read the privacy and legal documentation within the app in the “Settings and Support” section of your Account screen.

How do I upload my photo to My Profile?
To upload your photo, go to the "My Account" screen and select "Profile" from the link list. You will be directed to "My Profile" at aaos.org. Scroll to the "Edit Profile" button. Make any desired updates to your profile here to ensure you're providing your current contact information and news about your latest accomplishments. The "Choose Profile Photo" link will be an option here. After uploading your profile photo be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and save your updates.

Note that when you return to the app, you will need to close the app and reopen for your profile changes to appear.

What if I am having technical issues?
If you are having trouble accessing or logging into the app, or are having problems with functionality within the app, please submit our AAOS Membership App Support & Feedback Form.

If you would prefer to speak with an AAOS representative, you can always contact our team via phone at 800-626-6726. The AAOS business hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., CST. 

Can I use the direct messaging feature to contact an AAOS representative?
Not at this time. The direct messaging feature is reserved for conversations with your peers and is designed to be a member-to-member conversation platform. For Customer Support, please submit a support request or contact our Customer Service team directly at 800-626-6726. 

How long will it take for a response when I submit the support request form?
An AAOS Customer Service Representative will contact you after your submission has been processed. Please allow 72 hours, or 3 business days, for someone to get back to you.

How do I give feedback regarding the app?
As always regarding mobile apps, you can rate the AAOS Membership App and provide feedback through the app store directly (and we encourage you to do so!).
