ELIGIBILITY

Do you qualify to apply?

To be eligible for AAOS International Orthopaedic Surgeon Membership, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Orthopaedic surgeon 

  • Practicing outside the U.S. and Canada 

  • Member in good standing of a national orthopaedic organization in your country, or proof of orthopaedic licensure if none exists

  • Compliance with AAOS Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and policy statements

Note: All applicants are screened against the U.S. Treasury’s OFAC Sanctions List. Individuals on the list are not eligible. Residents of countries and regions under comprehensive OFAC sanctions are also not eligible, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and the Crimea Region of Ukraine.

Complete your application and pay your $290 International Orthopaedic Surgeon dues. It takes about 30 minutes, and you can save your progress and finish later.

Application Review

The Membership Team reviews applications weekly.

Approval

Once the Membership Team approves your application, your benefits are available right away.
