ELIGIBILITY

Do you qualify to apply?

To be eligible for AAOS International Resident Membership, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Physician enrolled in an orthopaedic residency program

  • Training outside the U.S. and Canada 

  • Compliance with AAOS Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and policy statements 

Note: All applicants are screened against the U.S. Treasury’s OFAC Sanctions List. Individuals on the list are not eligible. Residents of countries and regions under comprehensive OFAC sanctions are also not eligible, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and the Crimea Region of Ukraine

Most applicants complete the form in one or two sittings — you can save and pick back up anytime within 30 days.

Submit

Complete your application and pay your $150 International Resident dues. It takes about 30 minutes, and you can save your progress and finish later.

Application Review

The Membership Team reviews applications weekly.

Approval

Once the Membership Team approves your application, your benefits are available right away.
