How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
My needs have evolved over time. As a resident, AAOS helped me build important foundational knowledge by reading the AAOS Yellow Journal articles and through their Board study tools. In practice, AAOS has been essential to helping me stay on top of the latest research, policy and advocacy. Additionally, I have sought out many of the practice management tools and coursework to enhance my understanding of the business side of orthopaedics.

As an Active Fellow Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I regularly use CodeX to make sure my coding and billing is accurate. The new version of the AAOS app also offers quick access to research and articles.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My parents. Give back before you think you are ready, whether it be donating time/service or money.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I have used Notes on my Mac for years to manage my to-do list, it has kept me organized and I can access it easily.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Sleeping through the night.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Living in Colorado allows for access to the outdoors. I love to snowboard, hike with my family, ride on nearby trails and watch my boys play hockey and lacrosse.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I worked as a security guard over the summer of 1998, working events like the World Cup in Paris, France and the OzzFest in Milton Keynes, England.
