How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has been a constant resource during training and beyond. From attending the Annual Meeting as a medical student, to becoming a member since residency, I have counted on the AAOS to provide networking and accurate education.
As Active Fellow, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
OrthoInfo has been immensely helpful for educating my patients. My patients appreciate having a reputable source of information when dealing with their musculoskeletal issues. I also utilize JAAOS to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in our field.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
I was introduced to “The 3 A’s of Medicine” by orthopedic traumatologist Dr. Michael Leslie, FAAOS (availability, affability, and ability). It holds true in all aspects of life!
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I keep a running list of to-do’s. There are often breaks in the day where I can work on tasks, even if it’s a small step.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
When I come home for the day, I do my best to focus on my family. Even with limited time, being present for them feels extremely fulfilling.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Healthy eating and wellness activities to stay fit. It feels so much more authentic when I practice what I preach to my patients!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I enjoy reading travel blogs and finding ways to maximize points/miles when booking trips.
