As an Allied member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I use the Clinical Practice Guidelines to show patients the consensus of experts in the field for many of the common clinical questions.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Many years ago, I attended a lecture on the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in orthopaedic practice. After the significant learning curve, it has become invaluable in my practice and giving timely answers to clinical questions and reduction improved accuracy/efficacy to injections.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Get into the office early. No one is there to distract me, and I have the most energy to be productive.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Not hitting snooze.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Carpentry projects, skiing, biking, and scouting leadership.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I once hiked to the summit of Mt. Fuji overnight to see the sunrise.
