How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has supported my career over the last 10 years by giving me the opportunity to attend 7 annual meetings and present 25 scientific abstracts. This experience has been invaluable for my continued education, research, and networking.

As a Candidate Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The Annual Meeting is the most important AAOS resource to me. It is an exciting place to exchange ideas, share research, and catch up with old friends and mentors.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My father used to tell me, "there will always be someone bigger and badder". This was usually in regard to sports, but it's applicable to any endeavor. Stay humble, don't get complacent, and keep improving as someone out there is doing it better.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Finshing everyday with empty e-mail inboxes utilizing David Allen's system presented in Getting Things Done: The Art of Low-Stress Productivity (2001).

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Daily Spanish practice so I can better connect with my Spanish speaking patients.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Uphill/downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, mountain biking, triathlons, Hazy IPAs.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
Prior to COVID, I published a pandemic thriller novel called Virus Thirteen.
