How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has supported me throughout my residency by providing high-quality educational resources and creating a strong sense of belonging within the orthopaedic community.

As a Fellowship Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
While studying for Canadian boards and still today, I regularly use
JAAOS Journal and ResStudy to deepen my knowledge and stay up to date on the latest evidence-based practices and literature. I also like reviewing the AAOS surgical technique videos before cases. They are very good to revise the crucial steps of the surgery as well as tips and tricks before cases.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I’ve ever received was to always remember where you came from and let your core values guide your decisions and your future. This took roots from strong family values, and it has stayed with me ever since.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Heading to a cozy coffee shop, ordering a large chai latte with an espresso shot, putting on good music, and setting a clear goal for the day!

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Not hitting the snooze button in the morning.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love downhill skiing in the winter and biking in the summer. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, discovering new restaurants and playing board games. I’m always up for a movie, musicals, or concert.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know:

1.    I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I grew up reading the books (multiple times!) and watching the movies.

2.    I also spent a year in Austria as an exchange student, where I learned to speak German.

3.    I LOVE doing cast art for my tiny patients.
