As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
One of the most beneficial resources is the Orthopaedic Video Theater. I used it a lot during residency, and I still use it in fellowship. It has great content by experts on step-by-step surgical techniques, and it offers talks that review important topics in orthopaedics.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I plan my day the night before. I list the top three tasks I want to accomplish and allocate the potential time for them. The first task is the most important, and I never move on to the next task unless the first one is done.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I try to at least learn two new things every day, one related to shoulder & elbow surgery, and another unrelated to work.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy reading and swimming.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I used to play rock and heavy metal on my electric guitar.
