How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
I have been a student member of the AAOS since medical school. I made good use of the student resources, which helped me stand out in front of attendings during my orthopaedic electives.

As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
Since starting residency, the resource I rely on most is the Orthopaedic Video Theater. I use it to watch surgical procedures and prepare for cases I will be attending the following day.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
"Good is the enemy of better." I heard this on my first day shadowing in orthopaedics. We were performing a reduction and decided to release the bone clamps to chase a better result, which ended up costing us an extra hour that day. The lesson stuck with me.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
To-do lists. There is a small hit of dopamine every time I cross something off, and it keeps me moving.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Getting to the gym consistently. I am working on making it a non-negotiable part of my routine.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Plenty of DIY around the house, including some amateur carpentry, along with working on my personal PC build.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I almost applied to internal medicine instead of orthopaedics.
