How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
Throughout my career, AAOS has always been very helpful by providing the global standard guidelines and treatment protocols for orthopaedic diseases. Having such a clear-cut set of instructions helps erase any confusion and surgical dilemmas. In addition, I have found the AAOS way of thinking to be the most scientific and evidence based.
As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The resources that I use the most have been the AAOS Webinars and the OVT library. They are procedure specific and cover a lot of techniques. Watching these videos has expanded my way of thinking and has been immensely helpful before any cases.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My professor. He told me the best surgeon became the best by knowing when not to operate.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I live by the motto “Work hard, play hard.” Thinking about reaping your rewards later has always helped me get things done fast.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I’m currently trying to build a habit of daily self-reflection for a few minutes.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I play basketball, and I like watching thriller and suspense movies.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I wanted to be an engineer first. I’m glad I ended up choosing to be an Ortho bro.
