How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has helped me stay up to date with the leading trends in orthopaedics. More importantly, being exposed to outstanding surgeons through AAOS has been highly motivating and continues to push me to improve myself.
As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
Currently, I use ResStudy the most. It provides a structured and efficient way to reinforce key concepts, making it highly useful for both exam preparation and clinical practice.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Don’t trust anyone blindly.” I heard this during a medical school lecture from an orthopedic professor. The message was not to simply follow what seniors or professors say, but to always verify information through solid theoretical foundations and up-to-date research, and make it my own knowledge.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Recently, I’ve been exploring how to incorporate AI into my workflow. I am actively studying ways to use AI tools to improve efficiency in both learning and clinical decision-making.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Medicine is evolving faster than ever, and knowledge is being replaced more quickly than before. What we learned during training is no longer sufficient for a lifetime of practice. I am trying to build a habit of adapting continuously by learning new concepts quickly and staying flexible in the face of constant change.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Although I don’t have as much free time these days, I enjoy watching movies and listening to music to unwind. I also try to stay consistent with strength training whenever possible —there are many days when dumbbells feel lighter than surgical instruments.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I tend to treat everyday activities like small personal experiments. Whether it’s studying, working out, or building habits, I like to track patterns and optimize them. At this point, my life is slowly turning into a long-term prospective study on myself.
