How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has been instrumental in supporting my professional development by providing access to high-quality, evidence-based resources. It has consistently served as a reliable reference for best practices, clinical guidelines, and continuing medical education, allowing me to deliver care aligned with international standards.
As an International Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I frequently utilize AAOS clinical practice guidelines, OrthoInfo, and educational webinars. These resources are particularly valuable as they provide structured, evidence-based information that supports both daily clinical decision-making and academic teaching.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I received was from a surgeon I met in Australia: “To become a great surgeon, one must practice consistently—and practice correctly.” Mastery, he emphasized, comes from deliberate, thoughtful repetition rather than volume alone.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Prioritizing tasks with clear daily objectives and protecting focused, uninterrupted time for high-value work—particularly clinical preparation, teaching, and research—has significantly improved my productivity.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I am actively working on maintaining consistent involvement in sports activities and sports management, as this supports both personal well-being and professional engagement with athletic populations.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy playing and watching soccer, painting, and reading. These are activities that help me maintain balance and creativity outside clinical practice.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
During medical school, I used to perform beatboxing on stage—an unexpected but enjoyable creative outlet.
