How has AAOS helped you throughout your career?
I find AAOS’s online resources, access to current literature, and educational videos particularly helpful.
What resources do you use most and why
As an International Member, I use the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons most. It gives excellent and appropriate access to the latest in orthopaedic literature, which helps me stay current and choose the best appropriate management for my patients. It is also valuable for teaching purposes.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I was given was by my late uncle Maxwell. He said, “Enjoy life as you go through it. Make the most of every opportunity. There will always be trials and struggles, so don’t wait for a specific moment, or life will pass you by.”
What’s your go to productivity trick?
My go to productivity trick is to divide my daily tasks into blocks, focusing on the most pertinent matters first. This technique makes multiple tasks more manageable.
What is one thing you are trying to make a habit?
One thing I am trying to make a habit is a daily time of quiet, meditation, and prayer. I believe this helps refresh and rejuvenate me each day.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy bicycle riding, polishing my green thumb, and learning astronomy!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I am a baseball dad and help coach little league.
