How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
It has been an essential part of my continuing training, keeping up to date on the Orthopedic world and reviewing the newest evidence for my practice and seeing and keeping in touch with what our colleagues in the United States and around the world are doing today in the field.

As an International Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I think the JAAOS Collection is a must from the Journal which I don´t miss, the Global Research Journal to see what the world is doing, OVT also an essential part to refine techniques and some important tips and tricks from experts and the Clinical Practice Guidelines to keep my practice safe and evidence based for the patient.

What´s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My father who is also an orthopedic surgeon, in procedures I could sum up all of his advices to the phrase “Slow is smooth and smooth is fast” and that patients are not images, always listen to the patient because sometimes they give you that last clue of a diagnosis that is missing or guides the treatment decision.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habbit?
To make time to rest adequately.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I’m pretty boring. Basically I go to the gym, building whatever I can get my hands on like figurines or home decor that my wife asks for. I grew up with video games so I play a bit more more than I would like to admit. I also do patient educational videos for Instagram so always searching for an interesting topic so I can explain it in simple terms for patients or anyone interested to see.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I am an avid watcher of anime, but it’s a secret, haha.
