Why did you join AAOS?
I joined AAOS to be part of a community that is actively shaping the future of orthopaedics through education, innovation, and mentorship. As a medical student, it’s been an incredible opportunity to learn from leaders in the field, stay current on advancements, and connect with others who share a passion for restoring mobility and improving patient lives.
What are you looking forward to most about AAOS?
I’m most looking forward to continuing to learn from surgeons across all subspecialties and gaining exposure to the breadth of orthopaedics. I’m especially excited about the opportunity to build meaningful mentorship connections and bring those insights back to support other students interested in the field.
What interested you about orthopaedics?
I was drawn to orthopaedics initially because I was fascinated by biomechanics and how structure, alignment, and force can be restored in a tangible way. Through service, I came to appreciate how deeply meaningful mobility is to patients. It’s not just about fixing a bone or joint — it’s about restoring independence, confidence, and identity.
What is the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“How you do anything is how you do everything.” – My dad. It’s a reminder that character shows up in the details. I try to bring the same level of effort, focus, and integrity to every task — because those small habits ultimately shape who you become as a physician and a leader.
What's one thing you're currently trying to make a habit?
Being more intentional with reflection. I try to take a few minutes each day to step back, process experiences, and identify small ways to improve both personally and professionally.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Volleyball, boxing, and cross-culture fusion cooking!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
Most people don’t know that I can do magic tricks. I volunteer as a hospital magician for pediatric patients! It’s one of my favorite ways to bring a little joy and distraction, and the reactions from kids (and their parents) are always the best part.
