How has the AAOS helped you during residency?
AAOS has provided an essential framework for staying current with clinical knowledge and surgical techniques. Through educational resources, networking opportunities, and policy updates, the Academy has helped me feel more connected to the broader orthopaedic community, especially during periods of transition in my training.

As a Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I use ResStudy and the Orthopaedic Video Theater (OVT) the most. ResStudy has been critical for OITE prep and reinforcing core concepts, while OVT helps bridge the gap between textbook learning and operative technique, which is especially useful when scrubbing into unfamiliar cases.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Just keep showing up, don't give up.” That came from one of my mentors, Dr. Peter Cole, during a difficult phase of training. It’s a simple reminder that consistency, humility, and resilience often matter more than being perfect.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I block off short, focused windows of time (30–45 minutes) for tasks and avoid multitasking. I also keep a running “Top 3” list to focus only on what’s essential each day.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Journaling for 5 minutes each morning—it helps me stay grounded, intentional, and focused.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy weightlifting, traveling/diving, trying new recipes, and watching Love Island LOL. I also love listening to podcasts about medicine, leadership, and sports psychology.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know:
Before I fell in love with sports, I used to play the violin and tuba as a pre teen and teenager
