How Moments Become Memories for Residents at the AAOS Annual Meeting

In this episode, host Rex Lutz, DO, welcomes Jaehon Kim, MD, FAAOS, upper extremity and microvascular surgeon at Mount Sinai, and David Kantrowitz, MD, BS, an orthopaedic sports medicine fellow who completed his Residency at Mount Sinai, to discuss the experience of attending the AAOS Annual Meeting as a Resident.

Each year, Mount Sinai sends the entire Chief class to Annual Meeting, creating a unique opportunity for their busy Chief Residents to socialize with each other and their attendings, connect with other orthopaedic surgeons from across the nation/globe, interview for jobs, and gain valuable clinical insights that they can take with them into Fellowship and practice.

Drs. Kim and Kantrowitz share their memorable moments from the 2025 meeting in San Diego and discuss the value of institutions sending their Chief class as a group to Annual Meeting.

Guests: Jaehon Kim, MD, FAAOS, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgeon, Mount Sinai; Director, Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship at the C.V. Starr Hand Center, and Associate Professor, Icahn School of Medicine

David Kantrowitz, MD, BS – Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellow, American Sports Medicine Institute, Birmingham, Alabama
