Local Voices, National Impact: How the BOC Works for You

This episode featured the Board of Councilors (BOC), which represents the grassroots of the orthopaedic profession, including serving as an advisory body to the AAOS Board of Directors and a resource to AAOS committees. New BOC chair Michael Leddy III, MD, FAAOS, sat down with AAOS Now Editorial Board member Stuart Fischer, MD, FAAOS, to talk about his priorities as BOC chair, how the BOC supports state societies and promotes collaboration between states, and how members can engage with the BOC. Dr. Leddy also shared his personal journey to becoming BOC chair and how his early involvement in state societies helped prepare him to step onto the national stage.
