The AAOS Patient Engagement Task Force

In this episode, host Stuart J. Fischer, MD, FAAOS, welcomes Monica Payares-Lizano, MD, FAAOS, and James Barber, MD, FAAOS, to talk about the AAOS Patient Engagement Task Force, which was developed to help steward the execution of patient-focused activities by facilitating bi-directional communication between the Board of Directors and AAOS councils and committees. 

Drs. Payares and Barber, who were task force co-chairs, will talk about what the group has accomplished over the past two years, and why implementing patient engagement initiatives — including patient education — is important to both the AAOS mission and its members.
