Quality and Patient Care

AAOS provides more value by helping you educate, communicate and promote best practices for orthopaedic health and treatments. We offer members a wide variety of content-appropriate and professionally designed patient brochures and booklets in both English and Spanish. We also maintain a patient-centered website with all the information consumers need to understand orthopaedic diseases and problems, treatments, and bone and joint health.

OrthoInfo is the patient education website of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and is one of the few peer-reviewed orthopaedic resources for patients on the internet. Information covers not just orthopaedic problems and treatments, but also injury prevention, recovery and rehabilitation, and healthy living.

Patient Education

  • Brochures help patients understand their orthopaedic health issues with these carefully crafted and informative brochures on a variety of topics.
  • Booklets offer detailed, visual explanations to guide patients through the procedure and recovery.
  • Patient education apps provide new ways to educate patients effectively at the point of care, as well as at home.
