Shaping Policy through Rulemaking

On day three of Orthopaedic Advocacy Week, AAOS members will have the opportunity to place their policy questions and concerns front and center by answering the following questions:

AAOS Office of Government Relations’ staff and member leaders will use this feedback to guide future engagement with leadership across the federal government. Though less visible than negotiations and headlines from Capitol Hill, the policy decisions which impact the day-to-day practice of orthopaedic surgery often come in the form of rulemaking by agencies and entities beyond the scope of elected officials. Understanding your perspective on the issues that impact your practice and patients empowers AAOS to best represent you before these consequential policymakers.
