Experience 2.5 content-packed days rotating between dynamic classroom sessions and hands-on cadaver labs, refining your skills for an array of advanced foundational hip and knee arthroplasty procedures. This course is specially designed for senior residents, in PGY's 3 - 5. 

Engaging lectures, lively faculty panels, and small-group case discussions round out your experience, covering important topics including:

  • Preoperative planning for complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement
  • Extensile approaches to revision hip and knee replacement
  • Acetabular bone loss assessment and approach to reconstruction in revision THA
  • Revision THA: extended trochanteric osteotomy and choice of  femoral stem
  • Revision TKA: augments, metaphyseal fixation and stems
  • Periprosthetic joint infection: prevention, diagnosis and treatment
  • Use of technology to assist complex primary and revision TJA
