OrthoSkills: Techniques in Sports Medicine and Total Hip

Objectives & CME

Sports Medicine: 

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Sharpen techniques for ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, bicep tenodesis, and labral repair.
  • Cover various options for ACL reconstruction including autograft vs. allograft and hamstring vs. patella tendon vs. quad tendon.
  • Learn when to consider augmentation with lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) or suture augmentation.

Total Hip: 

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Gain experience and expertise with both anterior and posterior based approaches for THA.
  • Learn and improve all A to Z steps in performing THA through different hip approaches.
  • Optimize outcomes and minimize complications in the performance of total hip arthroplasty by learning tips and tricks from experts.
  • Improve knowledge and technical steps of the intra-operative options and variations that can be used to address more challenging THA.
