The Resident Assembly Executive Committee

The Resident Assembly (RA) has eight standing committees: the Executive Committee (EC), the Nominating Committee, and the six Subject Matter Committees. The EC is the primary governing body of the RA. All other RA committees report to the Executive Committee. The EC reports to the AAOS Membership Council.

Executive Committee Structure

The Resident Assembly Executive Committee is comprised of three officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Past-Chair), six Subject Matter Committee Chairs, and two At-Large Members.

  • The RA Chair position requires applicants to be a current member of the RA EC, and is selected by the Nominating Committee.
  • The RA Vice-Chair position requires applicants to be a current member of the RA EC, and is selected by the Nominating Committee.
  • The RA Member-at-Large positions require applicants to be a current Delegate member or Subject Matter Committee member and are selected by the RA Members at the Business Meeting during Annual Meeting.
  • The RA Committee Chair position requires applicants to be a current member of the committee they are applying to chair, and will be selected by that committee.
